June and I have been married for 41 years, have three sons, three daughters in law and six grandchildren. Around 1993 we went to a fundraiser and tried a country dance. We got hooked and jumped in with a big desire. We found fun, exercise, and wonderful people.
In 1996 we started teaching dance. Our first classes were at a senior day center, providing exercise and fun for them. These classes evolved into a demonstration dance group called June's Silver Steppers.
We now run dance classes for all at a beautiful mansion ballroom in Center Moriches, NY, where we also host dances. We teach and DJ at numerous events, fundraisers and parties. We started dancing when it was pretty much all country and so try to keep it that way, with little alternative.
June is very adapt at teaching beginners while I teach those that advance from her. I am a member of NTA. See some sample dance lesson videos on the photos page!
